By leveraging geo-spatial analysis and advanced simulations techniques, we were able to help our clients optimize their multi-location inventory, improving working capital and minimizing risks of stockout events and hence, AOG events.
Our approach to inventory optimization works in 3 phases, namely a data extraction phase, a future demand forecasting one and, finally, a minimum stock policy one, which is the result of a large number of stochastic simulations that account for any possible scenario, including abnormal demand patterns, longer lead times and any combination in between. We perform our deep analysis and simulations by accounting for the dynamics of each location and evaluate the risk of the overall operations. This risk analysis includes a "stress test" of our recommendations for inventory stability.
With our methodology based on AI, we are able to help our clients not only with a traditional optimization exrcise but also with recommendations on pool inventory policy, new fleet planning and regular purchase policy.
